I purchase auction lots of government radios and equipment, this was from a WA City lot.  I performed a user function test and all seemed to function as expected.  The
radios functions work but are UNTESTED.
The HT turns on has volume, when adjusting the squelch you hear static the yellow light lit up and on transmit the red light lit up (I put an antenna on for this).  The top switches function normally, the
antenna mount is straight no cracks, not bent, the battery connection is straight not bent. It has a Numeric keypad, screen isn't cracked and went into program mode.
The channel selector rotates from 1 to 14, it has a TA (Talk Around), SCN (Scan) and a
    PRI
    (Priority Ch.) switches, t
he Group function has 1 group giving you a total of 14 channels.  And is field programable for on the fly operations. It
    h
as the original gray Lexan case with BK model and serial numbers.
The physical condition is new, little signs of wear from field use, Dept. markings, sticker residue etc, no signs of being
abused, drowned or dropped, see pics.
    I
    confirmand
    it met the
    EPH 5140A specs,
the lot I purchased had 4 of the same model radios.

These radios were used by the wildland firefighters until they turned in their radio lease.  Usually they upgrade to digital, the NIFC current standard for Federal and most State contracts. To see if your local department or contract uses analog or digital radios please verify compliance with them.  Thank you for your time, please check out my other radios and Be Safe.
